Blue ocean cafe
A moment to unwind in the city.
Choose a base such as couscous or brown rice for bowls topped with salmon and prawns, Bolognese or steamed chicken. Blue ocean cafe also serves smoothies and has terrace seating.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Choosing couscous as the base for a salad bowl gives it a different feel from an everyday salad. At Blue ocean cafe, diners have also opted for brown rice or konjac macaroni, making it possible to vary the base to suit the toppings. One review found the couscous easy to eat and not dry, while another said brown rice helped balance the ingredients and made the bowl more satisfying.
There are plenty of choices for the main ingredients, including the “Sea’s Moisturising Beauty Bowl”, topped with salmon and prawns in mustard mayonnaise, and a bowl featuring Bizen Kuroushi beef Bolognese. One diner said the salmon’s saltiness and grapefruit’s tartness worked well with brown rice. The Bolognese also stood out to some for its combination of marinated paprika and crunchy almonds. Other options include a bowl with steamed chicken, sweet potato and rum raisins, as well as a custom bowl with toppings of your choice.
For a drink, try a green smoothie or the vitamin smoothie, which one diner enjoyed for its combination of pineapple and mango. Another reviewer found the green smoothie easy to drink despite its flavour of komatsuna greens. Both offer a different set of flavours alongside the bowls.
There is indoor seating as well as a terrace, where dogs are allowed outdoors. The terrace suits a meal outside, while the café can also make a convenient stop during a walk.
